Happy Halloweekend everybody! In honor of this fun and sweet holiday, I decided to whip up some delicious festive Halloween Cream Cheese Swirl Brownies. All I can say about this recipe is YUM! These brownies are super easy to make and perfect for any Halloween party. This recipe only takes about an 45 minutes to make and these brownies are sooo delicious I can't wait to share!

I decided to make my own brownie batter from scratch, and I highly recommend making yours from scratch as well because it is much more mouth watering!

For the homemade brownie batter, here's what you'll need...

Brownie Batter Ingredients:

  • 1 cup Sugar

  • 1/2 cup Flour

  • 1/2 cup Cocoa Powder

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract

  • 1/4 tsp Baking Powder

  • 2 Eggs

  • 1/2 cup Vegetable Oil

  • 4 tbsp Milk (I used Almond Milk)

Cream Cheese Swirl Layer:

  • 10 oz Cream Cheese

  • 1/4 cup Sugar

  • 1 Egg

  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract

  • Orange Food Coloring (Or Red and Yellow and just mix together until you get Orange)

  • Black Food Coloring (Optional)

Directions:

  1. First, preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and grease an 8x8 pan and set aside.

  2. For the brownie layer, combine all the brownie ingredients until smooth (and try not to eat all the batter) :)

  3. This is optional, but you can add some black food coloring to the brownie mix to make them black and extra halloweenie!

  4. Once the ingredients are mixed, set aside 1/4 cup of the brownie batter to save for the swirls.

  5. Pour the rest of the batter into the greased pan.

  6. For the cream cheese layer, blend all ingredients except the orange food coloring.

  7. When the cream cheese and other ingredients are combine, begin to add drops of orange food coloring until you have a vibrant orange cream cheese mix.

  8. Once the desired color of orange is reached, pour the cream cheese layer on top of the brownie layer.

  9. Next, get a spoon and the extra 1/4 cup of brownie batter you saved.

  10. Then begin to spoon small drops of the brownie batter on top of the cream cheese layer.

  11. After you are finished, get a toothpick and gently start in one corner of the mix and make tight "S" shaped squiggly lines throughout the top layer.

  12. When finished, simply place in the oven and bake for 35-37 minutes.

  13. Remove, let cool and enjoy! :)

Stay Sweet lovlies,

XOXO -J
